About the Chocolate Festival
The Austin Chocolate Festival benefits Susan G. Komen
For the Cure. The Annual Chocolate Festival has already raised over
$5,000 for the Austin Affiliate of Susan G. Komen. With the support of
the community and small businesses we hope to raise at least twice that
at the 4th Annual Austin Chocolate Festival in 2009. There are several
ways you can contribute besides attending the festival. We have
sponsorship and volunteer opportunities available. If you would like to
sponsor the festival or volunteer for the Austin Chocolate Festival
please use the contact us form on the navigation to the right.
The chocolate lovers event consists of local chocolatiers and
chocolate artisans including restaurants, bakeries, chocolatiers,
patisseries, authors, and catering companies. The vendors will compete
against each other in several categories, offer samples to festival
guests, and sell their products.
The goals of the Austin Chocolate Festival are:
1. Raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer by benefiting Susan G. Komen For the Cure.
2. Promote small food businesses in Texas that work with chocolate.
3. Provide a creative atmosphere and a symbiotic relationships between the festival vendors, guests, and the media.
